What Chakra System Represents?
The chakra
system represents the most important source of biophysical energy for humans.
The seven chakras exist in the context of our subtle etheric body which is not
visible in terms of physical appearance. They are positioned across the line of
the spine, starting from the root and ending on the top of the head.
Chakra system
has also great spiritual significance; their proper works is considered one of
the fundamental elements of spiritual awakening, and even enlightenment in
terms of their connection with so-called Kundalini energy.
As centers of
life-energy, chakras are our connection with the pure energy coming from the
space.
Chakra System and Chakra Colors Generally
Each of the seven chakras has its
name (including Ancient Sanskrit name), chakra colors, meaning,
symbolism and significance, even in terms of healing. Here they are:
1. Root or Base
Chakra (Muladhara). Red Color.
2. Sacral Chakra (Swadhistana). Orange.
3. Solar plexus Chakra ( Manipura). Yellow.
4. Heart Chakra (Anahata). Green.
5. Throat Chakra (Vishuda). Light blue.
6. Third Eye or Brow Chakra (Ajna). Indigo color.
7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara). Violet
Chakra System
and Wellbeing
When chakras
work properly, i.e. when they are not blocked or unbalanced, the complete
organism of people experiences powerful healthy energy in all levels, being it
physical strength or mental power. Many factors influence the activity of
chakras, including our worldview, lifestyle, food, behavior, spiritual level,
morality and ethics, and even our past.
Each chakra has
it’s “tasks”, meaning to support separate parts of our physiological,
intellectual/cognitive, or psychological or other aspects of our being and
existence. When the chakra system doesn’t work properly, i.e. when some chakra
or more of them are blocked, our organism experience difficulties. For example,
if the Heart chakra isn’t well balanced, we can have some problems with cardio
vascular system and heart. This is why meditation is so important for our
complete wellbeing, as it stimulates the chakra system working better.
Etheric Body as a Network of Bigger and Smaller Chakras
The chakra
system isn’t only consisted of these main chakras. There are many smaller
energetic centers/chakras throughout the whole etheric body, representing an
energetic network reaching literally every single inch of our body.
The traditional
acupuncture medicine, for example, uses this complex network to improve the
health of people on many levels. The so-called acupuncture points are,
actually, places where these smaller chakras exist. It is considered that there
are around 800 acupuncture points, i.e. smaller or bigger energetic centers of
the etheric body.
Chakra System and Spirituality
The proper and
balanced activity of chakras depends mostly on the amount of pure energy from
the space (known as prana) we bring to it. We do it by meditation, by focusing
on chakras, all together or separately. There are special techniques how to
perform it. In this spiritual context, the main point is that by stimulating
our chakra system we stimulate the awakening the most powerful energy inside
us, so-called Kundalini energy, or the energy of enlightenment. Once awakened
(only by long-term, regular, and disciplined meditation), Kundalini gives as a
radical new notion of life, existence, and universe, but this is another topic.
