What is Chakra Energy?
Chakra energy is vital energy. Without it, we would be
like zombies. It is also energy of higher consciousness, which is the point
where particular chakra meditation methods and techniques meet with chakra
meanings and significance.
Being it
biophysical, physiological, or mental aspect of it, chakra energy supplies our
complete organism with life-force, necessary for our mind-body-soul system. The
Sanskrit meaning of the word “chakra” is “wheel”, meaning wheel of energy, a
kind of spiral, vivid, and powerful source of vital force.
The 7 chakras
are our connection to subtle energies coming from the space, so depending on
their state we will receive more or less of these pure energies.
How Chakra
Energy Works?
Chakra energy
supplies every single cell in our organism with the vital life-force, mainly
consisted of so-called cosmic prana, in combination with the energy/power of
our consciousness. This energy travels through a complex network of energetic
channels to revive hundreds of smaller energetic points (aka acupuncture
points; about 800 of them) attached to our etheric body. It is subtle and
invincible, but its significance is huge.
The 7 chakras are kind of generators of the mentioned
life-force, while the prana is their fuel, if we can say so. If we can
visualize the etheric body together with all its energetic channels, points,
and main chakras, it would be a spectacular transparent sight, where the
etheric light and colors produce the beauty of the miracle of life. (There are
claims that some new technology can reproduce pictures of this phenomenon. Why
not? Its existence is factual).
Chakra Energy
and Chakra Meditation
There are
special meditation techniques for stimulation and development of the chakras
and chakra energy. Meditation on chakras is considered one of the fundaments of
some Ancient Eastern teachings, Hindu and Buddhism, for example. They consider
(and name) chakra energy as “energy of enlightenment”, in spiritual meaning.
After years of
strict, disciplined, and regular meditation, after long-term work on chakras
and their development, a time comes when chakras are ready to stimulate the
rise of the primal life-force, the most powerful blast of energy known as
Kundalini. Kundalini means “snake” in Sanskrit, because it is considered to lie
spirally at the base of the spine, waiting to be awakened and produce a
complete enlightenment of the meditator. (Keep in mind that awakening of
Kundalini shouldn’t be performed without support of very experienced teacher).
Chakra Energy in
Everyday’s Life
Modern chakra meditation approaches, however, have a lighter
attitude towards this essential energy. Most of them just stimulate chakra’s
work in order to have balanced health and wellbeing in general, and that is
good to do. Modern materialistic life makes us vulnerable on the energetic
level, and it is recommended to have regular short meditation dedicated to
chakra balancing, stimulating, but also cleansing.
Even our
understanding about the meaning of chakra energy helps our etheric body and all
its channels and points working better. If you, however, decide to dedicate
10-15 minutes of your daily meditation to chakras, you will experience not only
health benefits and energy flow, but also a higher consciousness about your existence
being connected in the eternal miracle of life in the universe.
