Mindfulness Meditation Techniques
After you have been widely introduced with many aspects of mindfulness meditation, it could be very useful if you have as many mindfulness meditation techniques as possible in your service, in order to use appropriate ones when you want to influence some specific area of your life.
You can find plenty of them
around, all addressing you in specific manner, all with particular aspects and
meanings, and all pointing towards giving you stress release, peace of mind,
love for life and much more.
Mindfulness meditation
techniques are known to be very available: you can build your own techniques
depending on your needs and the level of creativity.
They can be treated as simple meditation and
even mindfulness meditation exercises, but they all work and give great
results.
Mindfulness Meditation Techniques: Music/Sound
Music and different sounds can
be used for all types of meditation. Being it specially composed New Age music,
some Ancient deep musical roots, a peaceful Classical piece, or sounds produced
by Tibetan Bowls, for example, the point of this techniques is to focus your
attention out of the process of producing unnecessary thoughts, actually to
overcome this process by “entering” the music and experiencing its effects over
your inner perception.
Mindfulness Meditation Techniques: Nature
Being connected with Nature is one of the fundamentals of true
spirituality. The source of primordial beauty is the natural environment for
deep and joyful meditations. Practicing mindfulness meditation in
nature will make much easier your process of not paying attention to your mind:
there are so many beautiful objects to be focused on outdoors. Just imagine
yourself “inside” the top of some tree, exploring leaves, listening to the
wind, and especially some natural sounds such is bird chirping. We only mention
these aspects generally: you already know how to meditate on them.
Mindfulness Meditation Techniques: Opposites
This is very specific
technique and needs some specific attention. Namely, catch the first negative
thought after you sit down, and transform it into its positive
opposite/contrapuntal. For example, if a thought came that you have no enough
money — just enter the opposite and imagine how you have a great, harmonized
life with your family, sharing love and beauty, and not having money issue at
all – you have it enough for your needs. You can find tens of such opposites.
Mindfulness Meditation
Techniques: Swimming
Swimming is amazing place for
meditation, especially if there are not too many people around. What you need
to do is to fully concentrate on your body in the water: the powerful movements
of your hands and arms, the support of your legs, your head out/inside water,
and especially the rhythm of breathing. Swimming needs rhythmic and deeper
breathing which is excellent for meditation. Feel the anti gravity of being
into water and the lightness of your body gliding through it. You don’t need
any thought there. Your body is your thought. This is one of most dynamic
mindfulness meditation techniques and gives amazing results.
Look around you. Your life is
full of events and situations where you can find or create beautiful techniques
for you. Mindfulness meditation techniques help you live in non-duality, out of
conflicts with your own mind. If you approach them seriously, they will help
you find what you were always asking for: your true nature.
