early morning, because the concentration of prana (life-energy) is biggest.
3. Your meditation posture has
to be comfortable, no matter which one you use.
4. Don’t eat before
meditation. Keep your stomach relatively empty, but you should certainly not be
hungry – it will deconcentrate you.
5. Make few warm-ups before
meditation. Some yoga stretching work best. You will feel your body lighter.
6. Take few deep breaths
before you sit to meditate.
7. Try always to keep a gentle
smile on your face during meditation. It makes difference.
8. Don’t hurry to immediately
open your eyes after meditation. Keep them closed for a minute, and then open
them gently and slowly. Close them same way before meditation.
9. Clean your body before
meditation. Any unpleasant scent can break complete meditation. Use essential
oils.
10. Use candles. Aromatic ones
are best choice.
11. Keep your meditation place
perfectly clear. It is your sanctuary and you should pay special attention to
it. Arrange it tastefully, put some flowers around.
12. Know what meditation can
do for you. Read some books on it.
13. Learn about basic
principles of meditation. Understand how it works and why.
14. Make your meditation a
habit. It shouldn’t be only a decision or a task to be done.
15. Do at least one visualization meditation weekly.
Connect it with manifestation of goals in your life.
16. At the very beginning,
make your meditations short, only 5-10 minutes.
17. In the latter phase, try
walking meditation.
18. Create your own
mindfulness exercises. You can find inspiration everywhere around you.
19. Don’t expect anything
special to happen while meditating. High expectations make pressure on your
subconscious and don’t help relaxation.
20. Notice every single
improvement and adjustment in your meditations.
